Terms & Conditions
1. ScopeThese Terms and Conditions govern all travel services provided by KOYU to foreign travelers visiting South Korea ("you" or "traveler"). By making a booking or payment, you accept these terms in full.
2. Reservations & Payments
- Reservations are confirmed upon written notice from KOYU and receipt of your deposit.
- Deposits can be made by major credit cards.
- Balance payments are due as outlined in your invoice.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
- Traveler Cancellations:
- - Cancellations must be made in writing (email or mail).
- - The refund amount depends on when we receive your notice:
- - Less than 30 days before departure: No refund
- - 30-89 days before departure: 50% refund
- - 90+ days before departure: 85% refund
- - Refunds are subject to third-party vendor policies (airlines, hotels, etc.) and may be further reduced.
- - We strongly recommend travel insurance.
- KOYU Cancellations:
- - You'll receive a full refund if we cancel before departure.
- - Costs for visas, airfare, and independent arrangements may not be refundable.
- - We are not liable for post-departure cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances.
- - We reserve the right to terminate your trip without refund if your behavior endangers others or property.
4. Itinerary Changes
- Traveler-Initiated Changes:
- - We'll try to accommodate changes after departure, but it may not be possible.
- - You are responsible for all associated costs, which are non-refundable.
- KOYU-Initiated Changes:
- - We may need to adjust itineraries due to unforeseen events or circumstances beyond our control.
- - You are responsible for additional expenses resulting from such changes.
- - We reserve the right to modify itineraries for safety or group well-being.
5. Travel Documents
- Obtaining necessary visas and entry permits is your responsibility, unless specified otherwise.
- We are not liable for costs or trip disruptions due to missing or incorrect documents.
- Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your trip's return date.
6. Health & Safety
- Consult your doctor about health recommendations and required vaccinations for South Korea.
- You should be in good health to participate in the trip and inform us of any conditions that may affect your travel.
- You are responsible for your safety and well-being during the trip.
7. Travel Insurance
- Purchasing travel insurance is mandatory.
- We recommend comprehensive coverage for trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and other unforeseen events.
8. Limitation of Liability
- We act as an agent for third-party service providers and are not liable for their actions or omissions.
- We are not responsible for events beyond our control, such as weather, political unrest, or natural disasters.
- You waive claims against us for any loss, damage, injury, or death arising from the trip.
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
- These Terms & Conditions are governed by South Korean law.
- Any disputes will be resolved through arbitration in Seoul, South Korea.
10. Additional Provisions
- We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions.
- Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
